Peter Luff MP Visits Imagineering Club at Local School
Peter Luff MP, Chairman of the Business & Enterprise Committee at the House of Commons and MP for Mid-Worcestershire, paid an informal visit to St Richard’s C of E First School in Evesham and popped into the school’s Imagineering Club.

Run every week by volunteer engineer tutor, Bob Young, the Clubs sees 12 excited and enthusiastic youngsters learning basic skills and using simple tools to make working models linked to real world applications of science, engineering and technology.

Mr Luff was very impressed: “Getting young people to understand what engineering is all about is so important. We desperately need more engineers and we need constantly to look for ways to ensure we are ready for the upturn in the economy. The boys and girls in these Imagineering Clubs are being well grounded in the key components of engineering and science and will be well-equipped with the right skills.”
