Award-winning success at Stoneleigh |
The Imagineering Fair 2006 at the Town & Country Festival at Stoneleigh, Warwickshire in August turned out to be a landmark event for lots of reasons.
- The organising committee of the Festival awarded a special Trophy to Imagineering for Best Section at the Show. It came as a major but delightful surprise! Not only that, it was presented by Mr Peter Bell, Chairman of the organising committee live on air on the Bob Brolly show on BBC Coventry & Warwickshire radio! The Trophy is very much a team award for all the hard working participants and supporters of Imagineering
- This year not one but two Lord Mayors came to visit – from Birmingham and Coventry with their respective consorts
- Jaguar launched an exciting new schools project, the Sports Car Challenge in Schools
- Trevor Baylis, the famous inventor, a regular with Imagineering in the Midlands, spent the whole weekend delighting visitors with his humour and wit, judging Meccano challenges and presenting prizes.
The Fair, the seventh at Stoneleigh, attracted around 40,000 visitors, including many regular visitors, and there was never a dull moment!
