| Hot Competition predicted for Imagineeing Challenge Trophy |
Competition for the coveted IMAGINEERING TEAM CHALLENGE TROPHY is predicted to be hot in the Main Ring at this year’s Royal Bath & West Show, Shepton Mallet 31 May-3 June 2006. Teams of apprentices and young engineers from Airbus UK, Thales UK and Westland Helicopters will be battling it out as they gear up for the challenge in a thrilling brand new
Main Ring event at this year’s Royal Bath & West Show at Shepton Mallet, 31 May - 3 June.
In the event, which will run each day, a team of six from each company will be put to the test as they race specially-designed trailers around a demanding obstacle course, and against the clock, testing the teams’ ingenuity and strength. Members of the 6 Battalion REME (Royal Electrical & Mechanical Engineers) will adjudicate the race and see there is fair play.
The magnificent Imagineering Team Challenge Trophy was specially commissioned and donated by the Fleet Air Arm Museum at Yeovilton last year and was won by Westland Helicopters. It was designed by Innes Blair and is made partly from traditional Bristol Blue Glass. |
