Rear Admiral Loughran Praises the Imagineering Initiative
Rear Admiral Terry Loughran, Chairman of Trustees of the Fleet Air Arm Museum and of FLY NAVY Heritage, said he could not have praised the Imagineering event more highly. “The practical engineering tasks provided to capture the imagination of the young people visiting the show were nothing less than inspirational and clearly stimulated an interest in engineering in all its forms. The nation needs able youngsters to work in the technical world and with girls as much in evidence as boys, Imagineering can be proud of their achievement. It was apparent that the Bath & West Show President, the Marquis of Salisbury and the Royal Visitor, the Duke of Kent were fascinated by the activities, overstaying significantly their programmed time in the Imagineering tent. Such activities should be attracting central Government and continued RDA support."
