| Imagineers brave all weathers at Royal Bath & West Show
|
|
Thunder, torrential rain and local flooding did not dampen the spirits of the 20,000 visitors to the third Imagineering Fair at the Royal Bath & West Show this year. Visitors to the Showground had to brave all weathers but the Imagineering marquee, dry and full of exciting free hands-on activities for young people, was a hive of activity each day. Special activities had been organised by some of the UK’s most prestigious companies and organisations. From submarines to aerospace – and everything in between – there were opportunities to learn about how things are designed, how they are made and how they work. From machining, milling and laser-cutting to CADCAM, aerodynamics and robotics – there was something for everyone, with opportunities for some close-up inspection of a WASP Helicopter and one of the Army’s Challenger Tank recovery vehicles.
