APPRENTICES TRAIN WITH REME FOR TEAM CHALLENGE

On Valentine's Day three teams of apprentices and young engineers from Airbus UK, Rolls-Royce in Bristol and Westland Helicopters, Yeovil, were put through their paces by 6 Battalion The Royal Electrical & Mechanical Engineers (REME) in preparation for the Imagineering Team Challenge at the Royal Bath & West Show in Shepton Mallet in June 2005.

The teams visited REME at Tidworth in Hampshire to train for the Challenge, which will take place each day in the Main Ring at the Show and involves racing the Army's ¾ tonne trailers around a demanding obstacle course and against the clock, testing the teams' ingenuity and strength.

REME, Airbus, Rolls-Royce and Westland Helicopters are all founder companies of Imagineering in the Southwest.
