There are a number of ways for people to get involved with Imagineering. Click the appropriate link below to find out:

How can we get involved ?
Imagineering in school usually takes the form of an after-school club, which runs for each term of the academic year. These Imagineering Junior Engineering Clubs are primarily aimed at encouraging children of Primary School age to become the next generation of Engineers and Scientists.

In these Clubs children are helped to make working models from a series of kits. As well as practical skills, through their natural curiosity they gain an understanding of how their models work, and of engineering and science in general. The children are allowed to take their completed models home and parental interest further encourages their enthusiasm

For High Schools, Colleges and Universities there are other activities Imagineering can offer. These include in-school projects, out of school special events such as the Imagineering Fair. Fairs offer free space to exhibit projects and activities for Schools, Colleges and Universities to the general public.

What are the benefits to us ?
The main benefits are listed below but are by no means exhaustive:
- provides a useful addition to usual school activities that equips the children with a wide range of skills and experience in engineering and technology, supplementing the national curriculum
- mixes learning with a practical activity
- brings children and schools in contact with engineers and their local companies
- helps children develop basic skills and confidence
- encourages children to develop an understanding of how things are made and developed and how they can be improved upon
- raises children's awareness of career opportunities, enabling them to make informed choices in selecting future subjects within High School

Please have a good look around the rest of this web site. We have tried to put as much information on this site about Imagineering activities that we reasonably can. A leaflet on how to become involved is available here.
